Mail call
I had to wonder just how much mail passes through these boxes photographed in Rzhishchiv, ninety minutes south of Kyiv.
Actually mail is pretty rare in Ukraine as near as I can tell. Bills are pieces of paper tucked into your door. Invitations are in person or by phone. Thank you notes aren’t written, though sincere thanks are expressed in person. Post offices handle bill paying, wiring funds, shipping small packages, and international letters and cards. I just don’t see too much domestic mail here.
